Anyone with at least "Read" permissions to a document can write comments and attach them to documents.

When a document comment is entered, an "Email Notification" is generated and delivered to the document subscribers who have chosen to receive comment notifications.

This email specifies the following information:

  • The author of the comment
  • The date of the comment
  • The text of the comment
