Setting up WebDAV on your workstation will allow you to access infoRouter
documents and folders directly from Windows File Explorer bypassing the infoRouter user interface.
- Double click on the "My Network Neighborhood" icon on your desktop.
- Click on "Add a Network Place" in the "Network Neighborhood" window.
- This will launch the "Add Network Place" Wizard
- Click on "Next" to continue. Select the "Choose Another Network Location" option.
- Specify the location of your infoRouter server. Make sure to enter this
location correctly in the following format:
http://documentserver/infoRouter/dav where "documentserver" is the server name or DNS entry and infoRouter has been setup as a virtual directory.
or
http://documentserver/dav where "documentserver" is the server name or DNS entry and infoRouter has been setup as a website.
This is a critical step. If you are not sure what the infoRouter server URL is, please contact your infoRouter administrator.
- Give this Network place a name you can remember. An example for this may be "infoRouter DAV"
- Finally confirm the name you have chosen and click on "Finish".
- This will launch a file explorer and navigate to infoRouter DAV. In this view,
you will see all of the anonymous libraries appear in the form of folders. You
may navigate through these folders and documents because they are meant to be
anonymous, however, you will not be able to edit or create any documents and folders.
- Click the "Start" button and select "Computer".
- In the toolbar at the top of the window, select "Map Network Drive"
- Click the link "Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures"
- The "Add Network Location" Wizard will start.
- Select "Choose a custom network location".

Since the introduction of MS Office Add-in and the various tools such as the GUI Import/Export tool, we do not recommend heavy usage of the WebDAV functionality.
